Rebecca Wilson

Ms. Wilson started as the Principal of BCMS in August 2008.  Prior to coming to BCMS, she was assistant principal for six years at Ashbrook High School, taught sixth grade at Grier Middle School for three years, and taught at National Trail Middle School in Ohio for two years.  She was born in raised in Ohio and attended Clemson University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  She earned her Master's Degree in School Leadership from Winthrop University.  She is currently seeking a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership at Gardner-Webb University.  Ms. Wilson loves to spend her spare time with her family.

Tyler West

Assistant Principal

This is Mrs. West's first year at BCMS.  Prior to her assistant principalship, she taught for 7 years at Rankin Elementary.  Mrs. West is a product of Gaston County Schools.  She earned her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from UNC-Chapel Hill and her Masters in School Administration from Appalachian State University.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and cheering for the Tar Heels.

 

This is the beginning of Mr. Dixon's 14th year in education, his first at Bessemer City Middle as the Dean of Students. He spent the first 13 years of his career teaching Physical Education, 8 years at the middle school level and the last 5 years at the elementary level.

Mr. Dixon was born in Florence, South Carolina. His family relocated to North Carolina when he was very young. He is a product of Gaston County Schools. Mr. Dixon earned his Bachelor's Degree in Education at Western Carolina University and Master's in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. He enjoys spending time with family and friends in his spare time.
