Our mission at Bessemer City Middle School, through high expectations, is to encourage students to work collaboratively and make real world connections while differentiating instruction to foster independent knowledge using common core strategies and use interventions to increase postitive behavior.

 Important GCS Information

 Inclement Weather Policy
  • School will be closed when the superintendent considers the weather conditions unfit for the safe operation of school buses.

 

  • School closings or delays will normally be announced by 6 a.m. 

 

  • Radio and television will broadcast closings incluing Chanel 21, the Gaston County Education Channel.

 

  • Make sure your child knows what to do and where to go if school closes early.

 

  • Contact information must be current with the classroom teacher and office.

 

  • Please make sure that the phone number that you provided to the school is a working number.

 

  • In case of unexpected weather, please do not call the school. Our phones must be kept open for emergencies.
