I am using the SRA Corrective Reading Program to teach students word attack skills and reading comprehension skills.  All students were tested at the beginning of the year to determine which instructional level was most appropriate for their needs.  Based on these results, small groups of no more then ten students were formed.  These groups meet on a daily bais for 45 minutes of intense, direct instruction.

     This is a research based program with proven results.  I am constantly evaluating each student's progress and reteaching lessons as needed.  If your child is in Corrective Readin Level B, you will see a night homework sheet come home.  This is a great tool for you to practice reading skills with your child.  There is also a timed reading portion which will help your child's reading fluency.

     I am excited about the results I have seen thus far.  Most of the children are making tremendous growth and are actually starting to enjoy reading!!!!
