My name is Elishia Oliver. I am the school counselor at John Chavis Middle School. As a product of Gaston County Schools, I graduated from Hunter Huss High School in 1998. I then continued my education at Gardner-Webb University where I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in December of 2001. I began teaching at Mount Holly Middle School in 2002 as a special education teacher. From there I went to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools from 2003-2005. I started at JCMS in 2005. I completed my Master's of Arts Degree in School Counseling in 2007 from Gardner-Webb University. I received National Board Certification in 2010 from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
