Principal: Lonnia H. Beam

A graduate of North Gaston High School, Mrs. Beam received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education  from Lenoir-Rhyne University and her Master's Degree in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University.  This begins her 19th year with the Gaston County Schools.  Before being named Principal of Cherryville Elementary, Mrs. Beam was the Assistant Principal at Costner Elementary in Dallas.  She taught at Pleasant Ridge Elementary and Chavis Middle School before becoming an administrator.  

Mrs. Beam is married to Todd and they have one son Matthew who is a student at Appalachian State University.  They live  in Cherryville and are members of St. John's Lutheran Church.  She is very excited about being at Cherryville Elementary and being back in this community.
