Every student in grades eleven and twelve at Hunter Huss High School is encouraged to participate in the IB Diploma Program. There are three ways for students to experience the rigor of the Diploma Program:
- Diploma Program Participant-Enroll in at least one Diploma Program class offered at Huss and complete the requirements of the class, including the Internal Assessment. Students may enroll in a maximum of six classes for participation.
- Enroll in at least one Diploma Program class offered at Huss and complete the requirements of the class, including the Internal and External assessments, to receive a certificate. Students may pursue a maximum of six certificates.
- Enroll in all six Diploma Program classes offered at Huss and complete the requirements of the class, including the Internal and External Assessments tio receive the IB Diploma. These students must also complete the requirements of Theory of Knowledge (paper and presentation), Extended Essay (4000 word research project), and Creativity, Action and Service hours (150 over two years).
Diploma Program classes currently offered at Hunter Huss High School are IB English, IB Biology,IB History and IB French (two-year classes) and IB Math Studies, IB Chemistry, IB Business and Management (one-year classes).
