 Welcome To Ms. Allers Class Website!

Ms. Allers is the Media Specialist at Hunter Huss HS. She teaches Library Science and is the school system operator. If you have trouble logging into a computer stop by and see her. Ms. Allers is always available to help with research in the media center. Stop by if you need any help.  The media center has reopened in the front of the school. Academic Honesty Policy

 

Academic infractions involving any form of deception will result in academic and possible disciplinary consequences. Cheating is defined as giving or receiving information on any material, including but not limited to homework, classwork, quizzes, projects, labs, papers, etc  in a manner contrary to the teacher’s instructions.  

Plagiarism is defined as stealing or passing off the ideas or words of another as one’s own.  Use of a cell phone/communication device during a test is considered cheating.

 

Consequences when a student is caught cheating or plagiarizing:

First Offense

·         The teacher will discuss the incident with the student and communicate the information with the parent/guardian of the student.

·         The student will complete (re-submit) the assignment but will receive No Credit  (a zero) for the assignment.  Failure to re-submit the assignment will be considered insubordination.

·         The student will receive an unacceptable (4)  in conduct for the grading period.

·         Immediate loss of a Renaissance Card and it’s privileges

Second Offense

·         Follow the steps of the first offense.

·         Refer student to their administrator with documentation of first and second offense.

·         Student will be assigned 2 full days of In School Suspension.

·         Information will be noted on file until student graduates.  Information will be available to the Scholarship Committee upon request.

Third Offense

·         Teacher will follow the steps of the first and second offense.

·         Student will be suspended from school.  Most colleges ask whether or not students have been suspended from school.

·         Information will be noted on file until student graduates.  Information will be available to the Scholarship Committee upon request.

 

 

Tardy Students                                                   

 

Students tardy to school will report to class until 8:15.  After 8:15, all students late to school must sign in through the control room. Students will be given a blue slip from the control to be admitted into class.

 

Tardy Policy

 

Students are tardy when they are not in their assigned classroom when the tardy bell finishes ringing.  Students are not to be held over in one class causing them to be late to another class.

  • 1st tardy– Warning, documentation, parental contact
  • 2nd  tardy – Teacher assigned detention – 15 minutes to be served in 5 days, parental contact
  • 3rd tardy – Teacher assigned detention – 30 minutes to be served in 5 days, parental contact
  • 4th and subsequent tardies – Referral to administrator, parental contact, ISS/OSS as determined by the administration.
