A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MRS. SMITH

My name is Blair Styers Smith and I teach art at MHMS. I have lived in Gastonia, NC all of my life and graduated from Hunter Huss High School in 1978. I continued my education at WCU in Cullowhee, NC and graduated with a bachelor of science/art education degree in 1982. I came back to Gastonia and bought a music store and turned it into a music and art shoppe where I sold music and art supplies and taught private art classes. In 1989 I started teaching Art at MHMS and have been here for 21 years. I have been marrried for 24 years and have 2 children-Kaitlyn (18 years old) and Kirklin (15 years old). They both attend Forestview High School. We have 2 dogs(boxers) and their names are Sandie and Titan. In my free time, I enjoy reading, movies, electronic games, working out at the YMCA, scrapbooking, calligraphy and ANY KIND OF ARTS AND CRAFTS.
