Dear Families,

Welcome to North Belmont Elementary and Kindergarten! Mrs. Kistler and my self are looking forward to getting to know you this year. For the past 20 years I have been teaching in Gaston County. I attended UNC-Charlotte and received a degree in English and History becoming certified to teach grades 4-9. My plans at that time were to teach junior high English and Social Studies. I started having my own children and became interested in early childhood education. I began teaching preschool and now Kindergarten and I love it. I added Pre-k-Kindergarten certification to my teaching license at Belmont Abbey College. Six years ago, I went through an assessment process to become Highly Qualified to teach grades Kindergarten through the ninth grade meaning I am highly qualified to teach all of these grades.

I am fortunate to have Mrs. Kistler with me. She is a veteran educator and has worked in Kindergarten for the past 17 years. Her experience is a priceless treasure to us this year.

I intend to make learning a positive experience for your child and ask that you help me by supporting your child at home. We are partners in giving your child the best Kindergarten experience ever. Thank you for sharing your child with us this year!
