Communications Academy
North Gaston’s Communications Academy focuses on the following four goals:
1. To MOTIVATE sophomores to acknowledge and achieve effective communication skills which will prepare them for post-secondary education and/or training, and to encourage them to practice effective communication among peers and in society.
2. To EDUCATE students by providing rigorous course work, 21st century technology skills, and relevant experiences that provide opportunities to apply what they have learned.
3. To CHALLENGE students to lead by example, to share the art of effective communication (written, verbal, and nonverbal) with others and to make a difference in the school and community.
4. To SUPPORT students in their efforts to learn and to grow into independent and responsible citizens.
