 DAILY SCHEDULE

Arrival/Departure

The school day is from 8:00-2:25.  We encourage students to arrive by 7:45 so that they may get to class on time, unpack, and get ready for the day.
7:30- Building open for children
7:50- First bell, students dismissed to class
8:00- Second bell, students must be in class

Car riders/walkers who eat breakfast should arrive to school no later than 7:50. 

 
Breakfast will not be served after 7:50.

Students will be tardy to school after the 8:00 bell.
PARENTS MUST COME INTO THE SCHOOL TO SIGN IN THEIR CHILD AFTER 8AM
(bring a valid ID for processing in the computer system)

 

2:25- Bus riders dismissed, 1st load
2:30- Car riders/walkers dismissed
2:45- Bus riders dismissed, 2nd load
Please refer to the traffic pattern diagram for departure specifics.

 

Students are not authorized to leave campus at any time during the school day without permission of school officials.

 Inclement Weather Policy

  • School will be closed when the superintendent considers the weather conditions unfit for the safe operation of school buses.

 

  • School closings or delays will normally be announced by 6 a.m. 

 

  • Radio and television will broadcast closings incluing Chanel 21, the Gaston County Education Channel.

 

  • Make sure your child knows what to do and where to go if school closes early.

 

  • Contact information must be current with the classroom teacher and office.

 

  • Please make sure that the phone number that you provided to the school is a working number.

 

  • In case of unexpected weather, please do not call the school. Our phones must be kept open for emergencies.
