Miss Dumot
My name is Miss Dumot and I am super excited to be back at Rankin Elementary School. I received my bachelor's degree from Miami University in Ohio and am certified to teach kindergarten through sixth grade. I recently received my master's degree in instructional technology from Appalachian State University. I am also pursuing my license for school administration. I have a puppy at home named Nilla and she is almost three years old. In my spare time I love to read, travel, craft, and spend time with my family and friends. In the past few years I traveled to Malawi and 14 countries around Europe. I traveled while studying abroad in Luxembourg for four months.
Mrs. Speas
I have been teaching for 22 years. I am a graduate of East Gaston High School and Lenior Rhyne University. I obtained a master's degree at Grand Canyon University in Reading Curriculum and Instruction. I am National Board certified. I live in Mount Holly with my husband and three boys. My oldest son is a sophomore in college and my twins are freshmen at East Gaston High school. My family is very involved in sports and I spend a lot of time cheering them on at various sporting events. I enjoy camping, gardening, walking, reading and spending time with my friends. After 18 years teaching fourth grade, I am looking forward to the wonderful adventures I will get to experience in fifth grade.
