 PBS Program

This year at Sadler Elementary, in an effort to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment, we are continuing to use a school-wide Positive Behavior Support (PBS) system.  This is a proactive program that works as positive support and intervention.  The system will provide encouragement and incentives for all students.  We believe that students will meet and surpass expectations when school expectations are clear and positively reinforced.

Click here to see a matrix of our school-wide expectations for student behavior in a variety of school settings.  Please review these expectations with your children.  Our hope is that with a unified school approach, children will feel more comfortable and accountable.  Adults and staff will be able to more effectively recognize students for good choices and excellent behavior.  Moreover, as a school we will regularly recognize positive decisions by our children.

Our main goal is for all of our children to be ready, respectful and responsible citizens.  Children who consistently meet or exceed these standards will be recognized and occasionally rewarded.  Students who have difficulty in meeting these expectations will receive positive support to help them meet these standards.

We will invite all parents and guardians to Sadler to celebrate your children’s hard work and accomplishments.  Quarterly we will hold recognition ceremonies to semi-formally celebrate positive behavior and academics.

If you would like to be involved with this PBS program or volunteer in anyway to help, please let us know.  If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher at (704) 862-5895.
