Our Outstanding Senior from Gaston Early College High School is Allen Chen. 

Allen Chen knows what it means to be hard-working. In fact, he worked and studied so hard during his time at the Gaston Early College that he is able to graduate in four years versus taking the normal five years to earn additional credentials from Gaston College.  During his high school career, he took as many engineering classes as possible since he plans to become a computer engineer.  Allen, the son of immigrant parents, has worked humbly to be as successful as possible.  His commitment to hard work and dedication to his future is the reason why he is where he is today.  After graduation, Allen will attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on scholarships and grants that amount to a full ride.
