Jordyn Scheitler believes that everyone deserves a fair opportunity in life. Setting an example for others, she has given her time to make life better for children and teenagers.
Jordyn made Teen Court a priority during her time at South Point High School, acting as an advocate for teens. She also started a literacy program at North Belmont Elementary called “Ready. Set. Read.” The program offers one-on-one support for children who struggle in reading and language arts.
While at South Point, Jordyn served as a junior marshal, captain of the varsity golf team, and treasurer for the Spanish club. She was awarded the $60,000 American Enka Scholarship to attend North Carolina State University’s College of Textiles. Jordyn is a dedicated student and a dynamic leader, two traits that will take her far in college and in her career.
