Mass Gatherings and Public Events
Gaston County Schools is proud to offer special programs, ceremonies, plays, assemblies, celebrations, luncheons, concerts, performances, etc. for our parents, students, employees, and the community to enjoy.
Unfortunately, these types of public events (mass gatherings) are prohibited at this time because of occupancy limitations and social distancing requirements as well as expectations to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
It is important to note that a “mass gathering” is defined as an event or convening that brings people together at the same time in a single confined indoor or outdoor space. Such spaces include stadiums, auditoriums, cafeterias, multipurpose rooms, gymnasiums, etc.
Community use of facilities
Non-essential visitors are limited on our school campuses at this time. Therefore, all community use of facilities (rentals) is suspended until further notice.
