NC RDS (Residency Determination Service)
Through the completion of the North Carolina Residency Determination Service (RDS), a number will be assigned to students that all NC public colleges can use to determine residency for in- state tuition classification. Private or independent colleges also require completion of this process for students to be considered for state grants. Log into your CFNC.org account to begin the RDS.
