6th Grade English/Language Arts and Social Studies

Mrs. Sigmon is a graduate of North Gaston High School and also attended W.C. Friday Middle and Costner Elementary. She attended Belmont Abbey College, where she received her Bachelor's of Arts in Education and also received AIG certification from UNC Charlotte. Mrs. Sigmon has been happily married for 26 years and has three children: Katie, Nick, and Zack. In her free time, Mrs. Sigmon enjoys reading, all things Disney and going to the beach.

6th Grade Mathematics & Science 

Mrs. Davis is in her sixth year of teaching and lives in Charlotte, NC. She grew up in southern Michigan and attended Alma College in central Michigan, but absolutely loves living in North Carolina and teaching at W.C. Friday. Sixth graders are the best! She has many passions in her life, some of which are traveling, spending time with family and friends, reading, playing tennis, playing with her dogs and serving others through volunteer work.

She really enjoys working with students and teaching. One of her favorite things about kids is that they always come with such a fresh and unique perspective on things. Every day we have an opportunity to teach children - what we often don't remember is that every day we have an opportunity to learn from them as well.
