Coach Brown is entering her sixth year of teaching Health and Physical Education to students in grades 6-8. All of those years have been at W.C. Friday. She is also beginning her 4th full year as W.C. Friday's Athletic Director. Coach Brown was born and raised in Gaston County and is a proud product of Gaston County Schools. She is a graduate of East Gaston High School's Class of 1995. After graduating from East Gaston, she attended Belmont Abbey College and received her bachelor's degree in business management. She soon realized that she was called to be a teacher. She attended Western Carolina University and obtained her teaching degree, and has been teaching at Friday ever since. Coach Brown believes wholeheartedly that as a result of physical education, her students will learn that physical fitness is crucial for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, not only now, but for the rest of their lives. Coach Brown lives in Dallas, and enjoys spending her spare time with family and friends. For the past 18 years, she has been married to the love of her life, Jeff, and they have two fantastic children together: her son Gage is in seventh grade, and her daughter Delaney is in sixth. She is happy to be a W.C. Friday Cavalier!
