Administrative Appointments and Transfers, 2026-2027

The following is a list of the principal and assistant principal leadership appointments and transfers in Gaston County Schools for the 2026-2027 school year.  

Principal Appointments

• Brittany Beckham was appointed to serve as the principal at Belmont Middle School.  She previously served as an assistant principal at Southwest Middle School. 

• Mary Clark was appointed to serve as the principal at North Belmont Elementary School.  She previously served as the principal at Citrus Elementary School in Ocoee, Florida.

• Carlene Falter was appointed to serve as the principal at W.B. Beam Intermediate School.  She previously served as the assistant principal at Costner Elementary School. 

• Molly Tessnear was appointed to serve as the principal at Pinewood Elementary School.  She previously served as an assistant principal at Hunter Huss High School.

Principal Transfers

• Josh Bromley was transferred to serve as the principal at Bessemer City High School.  He previously served as the principal at Belmont Middle School.

• Stephanie Gust was transferred to serve as the principal at Kiser Elementary School.  She previously served as the principal at North Belmont Elementary School.

• Kimberly Reese was transferred to serve as the principal at Bessemer City Middle School.  She previously served as the principal at Pinewood Elementary School.

• Rebecca Wilson was transferred to serve as the principal at Gaston Virtual Academy.  She previously served as the principal at Bessemer City Middle School.

Assistant Principal Transfers

• Antina Avery was transferred to serve as an assistant principal at Stuart W. Cramer High School.  She previously served as an assistant principal at Ashbrook High School. 

• Jennifer Bergerson was transferred to serve as an assistant principal at Southwest Middle School.  She previously served as an assistant principal at North Gaston High School.

• Stephanie Crump was transferred to serve as the assistant principal at Belmont Middle School.  She previously served as an assistant principal at Holbrook Middle School. 

• Michael Hewitt was transferred to serve as an assistant principal at Cramerton Middle School.  He previously served as an assistant principal at Pleasant Ridge Elementary School. 

• Gina Hille was transferred to serve as the assistant principal at Costner Elementary School.  She previously served as the assistant principal at Carr Elementary School. 

• Shanti Hinkle was transferred to serve as the assistant principal at Bessemer City High School.  She previously served as an assistant principal at Belmont Middle School. 

• Tangela Hinton was transferred to serve as an assistant principal at North Gaston High School.  She previously served as the assistant principal at Bessemer City Primary School. 

• Logan McGuire was transferred to serve as the assistant principal at Robinson Elementary School.  He previously served as an assistant principal at Belmont Middle School. 

• Pharaah Putman was transferred to serve as the assistant principal at North Belmont Elementary School.  She previously served as the assistant principal at Sadler Elementary School. 

• Alecia Roberts was transferred to serve as an assistant principal at Bessemer City Middle School.  She previously served as an assistant principal at Bessemer City High School. 

• Kelly Brown Thompson was transferred to serve as the assistant principal at Carr Elementary School.  She previously served as an assistant principal at Stuart W. Cramer High School. 

• Patrick Watson was transferred to serve as an assistant principal at Stuart W. Cramer High School.  He previously served as an assistant principal at East Gaston High School. 

• Nichole Williams was transferred to serve as the assistant principal at Stanley Middle School. She previously served as an assistant principal at Bessemer City High School.

• Kathi Withers was transferred to serve as an assistant principal at Cramerton Middle School.  She previously served as the assistant principal at Chapel Grove Elementary School.
