Our Outstanding Senior from Ashbrook High School is Crystal George. 

Coming to Ashbrook High School her freshman year as a refugee from the Virgin Islands, Crystal George never let difficult circumstances stand in the way of her success in academics, athletics, and other areas. Having a heart for serving others, Crystal is always willing to help her classmates and friends succeed. She also knows when to take advantage of an opportunity that is presented to her, which is something that has helped her advance in her studies. Earning the Gaston College Promise Scholarship, Crystal will have earned 15 college credit hours when she graduates, and she plans to take two more classes over the summer. In addition to working hard to get ahead in her schoolwork, Crystal also has been a member of Ashbrook’s volleyball, basketball and track teams.
