Technology Donation Policy

Gaston County Schools continually seeks to broaden the technology resources available to students and teachers. Donated technology resources must be in good working order and must be cost effective to upgrade to a usable status. The district will provide guidance to ensure that the potential donation is acceptable.

Donated technology resources must meet the district's instructional needs and hardware standards based on the North Carolina School Technology Plan - Technological Recommendations and Standards and the Gaston County Schools' Educational Technology Plan.

Gaston County Schools reserves the right to decline donated technology resources that do not meet the Gaston County Schools Technology Donation Guidelines.
