Session 3
Going to College
Presented by Cassandra Thompson, Gaston County Ferguson Branch Supervisor
Lena Sue Beam Building, Gaston College Room 11912:00-12:45 p.m.
Session Description:
An introduction to the library’s print and online resources geared toward the needs of the college-bound student. The program I have put together uses a powerpoint presentation to introduce the free resources the library has available to help anyone who is interested in going to college. It usually runs about 50 minutes, and generally follows the "Going to College" Research Guide (http://gastonlibrary.libguides.com/college). It would be very good as a "BYO-Device" session since a library card is not necessary for anything except the Testing & Education Reference Center (replaces Learning Express) access through NC Live.
