Warlick Academy has a great new addition to its campus with the opening of a new disc golf course. Thanks to the contribution of Bimbo Bakeries and other community partners, the school now has a nine-hole disc golf course for students to enjoy.
Bimbo Bakeries developed and built the course as a "good neighbor project," and it will be open and free for the community to use.
Warlick Principal Curt Hovis and representatives from Bimbo Bakeries, along with students and staff, celebrated the opening of the course with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 16.
Superintendent of Schools W. Jeffrey Booker attended and thanked Bimbo Bakeries, along with their community partners Crisp Printers, Sunbelt Rentals, and A.J. Lawn and Landscaping, for their contributions to Warlick.
"We welcome the community to come and enjoy this addition to the neighborhood," he said.
