    If your child will be new to Belmont Middle School and is not coming from a feeder area school as a 6th grader, please click here to see what steps you need to do to register your child.

    Important Summer Dates:

    Bus Rider Sign-Ups - July 18 (3-6 pm), July 23 (8-10 am and 3-6 pm), and August 1 (3-6 pm)

    *All bus rider sign ups occur at Belmont Central Elementary School.

    6th Grade Camp - Thursday, August 15, 2019 (1-3 p.m.)

    6th Grade Meet the Teacher - Tuesday, August 20, 2019 (6-7 p.m.)

    7th and 8th Grade Meet the Teacher - Wednesday, August 21, 2019 (5:30 - 7:00 p.m.)

  • 6th Grade 

    Rising 6th graders visited our school on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.  Following the visit, registration cards were sent home with students through their feeder schools.  Registration cards were due on Friday, May 3, 3019 and should be turned in at the feeder school.  Students will also given information about how to sign-up for our band and chorus programs.  Below is also a video and FAQ about BMS as a sixth grader.

  • 7th Grade

    Registration cards were sent home in April with students that were currently enrolled at BMS.

    Middle school students are eligible to earn high school credit toward meeting graduation requirements.  Students must pass the course and take the applicable final exam.  High school courses taken in middle school count towards graduation credits but not as part of the student's high school grade point average.  These courses will be posted on the student's transcript along with the final grade for the course.

    7th Grade World History

    Criteria: AIG Identified in Reading OR 6th Grade Reading EOG Level 4 or 5.

    Math

    Some students were notified about the possibility of taking the advanced math track by the school system at the end of the 18-19 school year by letter.  Here is more information about that opportunity.  

     

  • 8th Grade

    NC Math 1 (EOC Course)

    Criteria: AIG Identified in Math OR AIG Clustered OR EVAAS Projected Percentile in Math 99-80

    Advanced Math

    Criteria: AIG Clustered OR EVAAS Projected Percentile in Math 79-65

    Spanish I (Year Long Course)

    Criteria: Final Grade of 85 in 6th or 7th Grade Spanish OR Final Grade of 85 in 7th Grade ELA

    Math
