Kristin Haskett

Mrs. Kristin Haskett was born and raised in central Florida. She moved to North Carolina in 1998 to attend Gardner-Webb University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts in School Leadership, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership all from Gardner-Webb University.   

She completed 13 years in the classroom as an elementary and middle school teacher before becoming a school administrator in 2014. She previously served as an assistant principal at South Point High, North Gaston High and just recently at Pinewood Elementary for the past 4 years.  During the 2020 - 21 school year, she served Gaston Virtual Academy as one of the 5th grade administrators.  As a teacher, she was a mentor to new teachers, a Pinnacle Leader for the district, and served on many school and district committees. She also has taught several professional development workshops about integrating technology, student engagement, interactive notebooking in classrooms, and book studies with staff.

In her free time, Mrs. Haskett enjoys spending time with her husband and their five children. She has a love for the beach, Duke athletics, reading, crafting, and traveling.
