Madison Moore’s achievements at Hunter Huss High School are numerous, which is why more than seven different organizations -- from Rotary to the State Employees Credit Union -- took an interest in her future success.
The organizations offered her scholarships to attend UNC-Chapel Hill, where she plans to major in history with a minor in education.
Named the City of Gastonia’s Student of the Year by the Gastonia City Council, Moore established herself as a leader at school and in the community.
In addition to her studies and school activities, Moore served on the Gastonia Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council, as Interact Club president and on the Cancer Services Youth Advisory Council. She also spent time as a volunteer at Caromont Regional Hospital and the Gaston County Public Library.
