Typically, acceptance into a school choice program is at the kindergarten, sixth grade, and ninth grade levels; however, some programs have limited space available at other grade levels (check each program on the School Choice webpage for specific grades).  Students for the Gaston County Virtual Academy are accepted for grades 3-11.

Students and parents will have an opportunity to learn more about the school choice programs at our next information session:

■ Saturday, February 22
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Myers Center, Gaston College (Dallas campus)

During the information session, each school that offers a choice program will have a booth/table set up.  Students and parents will be able to visit the booths/tables to learn about the programs, collect information, and talk with school representatives.

All families are encouraged to attend.  Parents who have a child currently enrolled in a private, charter, or home school program are invited to attend to learn about the quality choice options in Gaston County Schools.
