    Valerie Farfan, Forestview High SchoolOur Outstanding Senior from Forestview High School is Valerie Farfan. 

    Valerie Farfan is motivated, determined, and an all-around fantastic student. Most important of all, she knows that hard work pays off. After graduation from Forestview High School, Valerie will enter college as a sophomore thanks to her dedication to her studies while involved in Gaston College’s dual enrollment program. But she doesn’t just work hard in school. She also spends time volunteering with several organizations like Gaston Emergency Medical Services and CaroMont Regional Medical Center’s emergency department. As a first-generation English speaker, Valerie is able to translate for patients and their families in emergency situations. Her strong work ethic and passion for caring for and helping others will be instrumental in her career as she studies nursing at Appalachian State University.
