Hi!  I'm Misti Elting and I'm the Early College Liaison.  This is my 11th year at Gaston College, and I have been extremely fortunate to work with high school students the entire time.  I started as the Student Recruiter and then moved into the Career Coach role about 5 years ago.  As the liaison, I work closely with the high school counselor and students to map out individual dual enrollment paths toward reaching the goal of receiving a high school diploma and a college credential or degree upon high school graduation.  I will also connect students with all the wonderful resources here at the college to help them be successful college students.  I am looking forward to this new adventure and wonderful opportunity for GCS high school students!

 

I have a crazy, amazing family; my husband & bestie, Billy of 26 years, our 3 girls Haley, Alyssa & Lyndsey (2021 Gaston College grad) and our rambunctious boxers Luke and Daisy.  I love to cook - not bake!  The mountains are my happy place.  I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, backpacking, driving around in the Jeep with the top down, and hanging out around the firepit with friends and family.
