Inclement Weather Information for Wednesday, January 22

Because of the wintry weather and likelihood for icy and hazardous road conditions, Gaston County Schools will be closed for students and employees on Wednesday, January 22. Supervisors will be advised to work with employees on making up time missed on Wednesday.

We are accepting applications now through March 21. Students who will be in kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year may apply. A lottery process will be used to determine the kindergarten students who will attend and to fill vacant seats in first grade through fifth grade. Click here to learn more.
