    • Sharon McGee, Science teacher, is the 2015-2016 East Gaston Teacher of the Year. 
    • Josh Allen, a former English teacher and coach, was the 2014-2015 East Gaston Teacher of the Year.
    • Melissa McDaniel, English teacher, was the 2012-2013 East Gaston Teacher of the Year.
    • Amy McAulay, CTE teacher, was the 2011-2012 East Gaston Teacher of the Year. 
    • Diane Reeves was named Gaston County Schools Media Specialist of the Year 2011-2012.
    • Yeva Hall-Williamson was named Gaston County Schools High School Counselor of the Year 2011-2012.
    • Lois Costner, our front office coordinator, was selected to represent East Gaston as the 2015-2016 Kia Educator of the Year. 
    • Billy Morrow, custodian, was selected to represent East Gaston as the 2014-2015 Kia Educator of the Year. 
    • Mark Scronce, EC teacher, was selected to represent East Gaston as the 2013-2014 Kia Educator of the Year.
