I am a product of Gaston County Schools and a graduate of South Point High School. I earned my BA in Elementary Education from Belmont Abbey College and began my career as a middle school teacher in 2009.  While teaching for Gaston County Schools, I worked at Grier Middle School and Southwest Middle School. I earned an MA in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix in 2013 and an EdD in Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University in 2019. I served as an assistant principal at Cramerton Middle School from 2014-2019 and at Grier Middle School from 2019-2021. During the 2020-2021 school year, I also served at the Gaston Virtual Academy as an assistant principal. I served as the principal of Gaston Virtual Academy from 2021-2024. I was thrilled to be appointed as the principal of W. C. Friday Middle School in 2024. 

On a personal note, I have been married since 2009 and have one son, who was born in 2017. We enjoy spending time together outdoors, visiting theme parks, and playing with our dog.
