Mr. Woodrow Boyles

Mr. Boyles is from Lincoln County, North Carolina. He holds both a Bachelor's degree in History and Master's degree in teaching from Lenoir-Rhyne University. He also holds a Masters in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University through the Gaston County Superintendent’s Leadership Academy. He is licensed in k-12 administration and in secondary social studies instruction.

Mr. Boyles has served Gaston County Schools since the spring of 2016 as a social studies teacher at Highland School of Technology in Gastonia, NC. He was a finalist for the Linda Rader New Teacher of the Year, and was selected to participate in the Superintendent’s Leadership Academy in 2021. He was named assistant principal of W.C. Friday Middle School in 2023. 

Mr. Boyles is an active musician and drummer in the Loch Norman Bagpipe Band in Huntersville, NC. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with family.
