Gaston Early College of Medical Sciences
We are a small, healthcare-focused high school located on the Gaston College campus. We opened Fall 2021 with 79 ninth and tenth grade students. In Fall 2024, we will reach maximum capacity with a total of 320 students (80 students/grade).
When students apply to our school, they must be prepared to select one of the four degree programs offered. They are expected to remain in that program until graduation. All college tuition, books, and fees are covered by the school district.
Below are the degree programs offered at GECMS:
Associate in General Education (AIG) in Nursing
Associate of Applied Science in Biotechnology
Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology
Associate of Applied Science in Human Services
