Mrs. Tammy Mims
I have been an educator for over 30 years. I have had the privilege to serve as a high school science teacher, a district level curriculum facilitator, director of the Gaston Regional Science and Engineering Fair, an assistant principal and a principal. I have loved every step of my career and I have had so many wonderful opportunities.
I received both my Bachelor of Science in Biology (with a concentration in Microbiology) and Master of Science in Education from the University of South Carolina. I received my School Administration License from Western Carolina University. I am currently finalizing my dissertation in the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program at Gardner Webb University.
My husband Tom and I have been married for 33 years this summer. We have two children, Christopher (32) and Charli (27); both are products of Gaston County Schools. Tom and Christopher work in the computer and networking industry and Charli is a teacher at Robinson Elementary School. Both of my parents are graduates of Holbrook High School, my family originally being from Lowell.
I enjoy reading, watching Sci-Fi, and hanging out with my family and our pets. I am a big fan of Disney and Wonder Woman!
I am so excited to be on this journey with you and to be a part of the Forestview Family!
Tammy
