Mr. Glenn Cook
Mr. Cook, a proud product of Gaston County Schools, graduated from Appalachian State University in 2005 where he received a degree in Elementary Education (K-6). Mr. Cook later attended Gardner-Webb University where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership (K-12).
Mr. Cook's journey to Southwest Middle School started at Robinson Elementary School in 2005. Mr. Cook began his administrative career at Belmont Central in 2010 as an Assistant Principal and, in 2013, he transitioned to Stuart W. Cramer High School.
In 2016, Mr. Cook was named the principal of Pleasant Ridge Elementary School. Along the way, he has had the distinct honor of working along with and learning from some spectacular educators. Each person has shaped him into the person he is today. He is thankful for his experiences and is ecstatic to join a staff dedicated to the Southwest Community.
Each day, his goal is to speak encouragement and hope into the lives of students and staff that will motivate them to be the best versions of themselves. Together, at Southwest, they will achieve greatness.
