Admission to Gaston Early College High School (GECHS) is determined through a random lottery. Those selected in the lottery are placed on a conditional acceptance list.

Lottery Dates:

• Application materials will be available online starting January 15th.
• Applications are due March 21st. All applications must be submitted online.  Make sure to select EARLY COLLEGE, or you're not applying to our school.
• The lottery is conducted by Scribbles.  Selected students will be notified via Scribbles.

Open House Information:

• February 5, 2025 - Lena Sue Beam Building on Gaston College Campus (800 Rhodes Perimeter Drive).  5:30–7:00 p.m. (you do not have to stay the whole time - Information sessions will run every 30 minutes. 6:30 will be the start of our last session.  We will have students, parents, and teachers available for questions.
• February 20, 2025 - Lena Sue Beam Building on Gaston College Campus (800 Rhodes Perimeter Drive). 6:30-7:30 p.m. Drop-in for questions and help with applying to the Gaston Early College.
