Meghan LeFevers
As a product of Gaston County Schools, Meghan LeFevers graduated from Cherryville High School in 2003. Ms. LeFevers received both the North Carolina Teaching Fellows and North Carolina Principal Fellows Scholarships and attended Appalachian State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.
Ms. LeFevers spent her time teaching middle school math at WC Friday Middle School located in Dallas, N.C. Upon leaving the classroom, Ms. LeFevers participated in the North Carolina Principal Fellows program and earned a Masters Degree in School Administration the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
While serving as an Assistant Principal at Bessemer City High School for four years, Ms. LeFevers is most proud of the graduation rate for her students with disabilities as it is 20% higher than the state level.
During the 2017-2018 school year, Ms. LeFevers was named Gaston County Schools Assistant Principal of the Year, North Carolina Assistant Principal of the Year and was awarded the prestigious Milken Educator Award.
