Mrs. Tyler West

Mrs. Tyler West is excited about leading the amazing students and staff of Mount Holly Middle School!

Mrs. West is a product of Gaston County Schools who earned a Bachelors degree in Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2011, she earned a Masters in School Administration from Appalachian State University.

Mrs. West loves the Mount Holly community, where she taught for seven years at Ida Rankin Elementary. As a teacher, she received her National Board Certification, served as a Pinnacle Technology Leader, and was selected as the Teacher of the Year. 

During her career in education, she has also served as the Assistant Principal of Bessemer City Middle School and as the principal of Sherwood Elementary and Pinewood Elementary. Mrs. West was selected to represent her colleagues as the Gaston County Schools Principal of the Year for 2021-2022.

In her free time, Mrs. West enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. She also loves Tar Heel athletics, traveling, swimming, and music.
