Download Scholarships listed in Counseling Newsletters and search ScholarshipPlus for scholarshipshttp://www.scholarshipplus.com/Gaston/ This Online Scholarship Guide contains scholarships announced through the Guidance and Student Services Department in Gaston County high schools. Scholarship name, discipline, value, eligibility criteria, approximate due date and contact are given for each scholarship. Review this information carefully. Not all applications will be available at the beginning of the school year since many of the sponsoring organizations wait until close to the deadline to send them. Also, sometimes scholarship providers will change application deadlines, so be sure to contact your school counselor about all scholarships in which you have an interest. -
Fastweb
Provides a free college and scholarship search. You login, fill out a profile and receive a mailbox, which you can periodically check for scholarship application sources. Very comprehensive site contains a database of over 1.5 million scholarships and is growing all the time. Complete a questionnaire and FastWeb will give you a list of scholarships for which you are eligible. Some scholarship applications are available on line. FastWeb will also notify you if additional scholarships are added to its database that are a match for you. -

(CFNC) College Foundation of NC
Provides excellent information on every University and College in North Carolina. Provides scholarship, financial aid, and loan information. Provides a Career Interest Inventory that matches careers with your interest and personality. Provides a Student Planner to keep a record of your high school grades, honors, test scores, and activities. -
(FAFSA) Free Application for Federal Student Aid
To apply for federal student financial aid, and to apply for many state student aid programs, students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The information you provide on your FAFSA determines if you are eligible for financial aid. -
CSS Profile
The PROFILE is another financial aid form used by select colleges and universities. This form needs to be completed in addition to the FAFSA for the following NC Colleges/Universities: UNC Chapel-Hill, Davidson College, Duke University, Wake Forest University, Elon University. There is a fee to complete the PROFILE. -
