Anime Club |

The Anime Club seeks to promote an interest in and appreciation of Japanese animation through viewing anime films, television series, and through discussion sessions. The gaming club is a club for everyone who plays video games, board games, tabletop, or even card games. Through a shared appreciation of gaming and anime, we can build friendships and help build other communities among students. We will spend half an hour viewing a chosen anime, and the other half hour gaming. |

Interact Club is sponsored by the Rotary Club and offers leadership and volunteer training for students at Ashbrook. Every year the Interact Club has two major public service projects. Our first project is over the Thanksgiving break, where the students service dinner at a convalescence home. Our other project is in the spring, when we help put on the Special Olympics. We also are involved in various small service projects in between the two main projects. |

Do you enjoy modern and classic poetry? Poetry Out Loud is an annual recitation contest that encourages students to learn about great poetry through memorization and recitation. Join us to prepare for the school level competition, which will be in December. This club will meet first semester only. |

If you are interested in performing at or attending slam poetry events, you should come check out our club! We will help you write, workshop, and practice your performance poems to get them competition ready! We will also spend the year selecting six students who will represent Ashbrook at the third annual breatheINK Youth Poetry Inked Uprising High School Slam in the spring. |
