The Innovative Approaches Project (Cabarrus, Gaston, Rowan & Union counties) is working to help youth take charge of their health as they are on the journey to adulthood. We invite you and your parent to participate by signing up to receive text messages with tips, tools, and resources about your health care.

NC Governor's School is a five week residential summer program with specialized programs in academic and the arts. For more information visit www.ncgovschool.org. Sophomores are eligible to apply in the areas of Dance, Choral Music, and Instrumental Music only. Juniors are eligible to apply in all areas. Please take a moment to watch the video below.
October is NC Countdown to College Month
Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and the RDS (Residential Determination Service) in October.
Click here for more information. Completing the RDS will give students a number that is needed to complete college applications. Best practice is to complete the RDS prior to beginning college applications. See this page for things you need to know before you start RDS.
College Application Week is October 18-22. A listing of NC Colleges who are waiving their application fees can be found here! All seniors will be invited to come work on applications in the media center where outside professionals as well as school counselors will be available to assist.
Many college specific nomination scholarships will have upcoming deadlines. These scholarships have a nomination process and each high school will set deadlines for submission of materials to be considered for nomination.
