Ms. Porsche McDuffie

Hello! My name is Porsche McDuffie, and I’m so excited to be working with students in Kindergarten through second grade at H H Beam Elementary. I’m a native of South Carolina, but relocated to North Carolina several years ago.

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (Sociology/Psychology) from the University of South Carolina at Spartanburg. I received a Master of Arts in Counseling with the emphasis of Mental Health from Webster University. I’m currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate for the State of North Carolina. Recently, I received a Certificate of School Counseling from Winthrop University.

I have experience working with at risk children in the capacity of alternative school setting, child protective services, and mental health. My passion has always been working with children and watching them grow and develop to become the whole child.  This year, I will be providing the students with social emotional learning, coping strategies, and building healthy relationships that they can utilize on a day to day basis.

I enjoy spending time with family, going to cultural events, and traveling. I am looking forward to working with the families of HH Beam.
