Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Chelsea Harley

Hello! I am excited about being a Belmont Central Eagle and being a part of Gaston County Schools!

I did not grow up in Gaston County but most of my family is from this area and I am excited to be here. I graduated with honors from Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I was part of Winthrop University's Leaders for Tomorrow program, where I received my Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership. I am a National Board Certified Teacher as well.

Before coming to Belmont Central, I spent eight years teaching in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school district. In 2015, I was awarded the Meck Ed Teacher of Excellence Award. I have a variety of teaching experience, including teaching 3rd, 4th, 5th, and most recently 7th grade. While I love to read personally, I focused on math for most of my teaching experience.

My husband and I have lived in Cramerton for nearly three years and have a one-year old daughter, Alexa. We enjoy Carolina basketball, Bills football, country music, photography, and traveling. I look forward to learning more about the students and families of Belmont Central!
