The following school and central-level administration appointments and transfers are effective for the 2024-2025 academic year.
New Principal Appointments
▪ Caroline Black was appointed to serve as the principal at Cherryville Elementary School. She previously served as the beginning teacher support coordinator in the Human Resources Department.
▪ Kelsey Elms was appointed to serve as the principal at Hunter Huss High School. She previously served as an assistant principal at South Point High School.
▪ Kelli Glisan was appointed to serve as the principal at New Hope Elementary School. She previously served as the assistant principal at J.V. Washam Elementary School in Cornelius.
▪ Miriam Harvey was appointed to serve as the principal at John Chavis Middle School. She previously served as the principal at James Love Elementary School in Shelby.
▪ Taner Jarrett was appointed to serve as the principal at Warlick Academy. He previously served as a director for the Department for Exceptional Children.
▪ Nicole Lawson was appointed to serve as the principal at Hawks Nest STEAM Academy. She previously served as the assistant principal at Costner Elementary School.

▪ Stephanie Crump was named an assistant principal at Southwest Middle School. She previously served as a teacher at Southwest Middle School.
▪ Shanti Hinkle was named an assistant principal at Belmont Middle School. She previously served as a teacher at Cramerton Middle School.
▪ Anna Lineberger was named the assistant principal at John Chavis Middle School. She previously served as a teacher in the Fort Mill School District.

▪ Kathleen Koch was named the director for Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) programs in the Academic Services Department. She previously worked for the College Board.
