Mrs. Elizabeth Crosby

Hello Cramerton Eagles! I am Beth Crosby, and I am so proud to serve the CMS family as an assistant principal. I am originally from Raleigh, North Carolina. I received my undergraduate degree from Meredith College, and joined my husband in the Gaston County area over twenty years ago. I was a classroom teacher at McAdenville Elementary School for eighteen years, and served as an instructional coach at Lingerfelt Elementary School. In 2018, I earned my master’s degree in School Administration from UNC-Charlotte. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher and spent many years working with the Pinnacle Network within Gaston County Schools.

Outside of school, my life revolves around my family! You’ll find me most weekends on a soccer field cheering for my son, Ethan, or learning about trains with my son Ty. I also enjoy cooking, cheering on my NC State Wolfpack and South Carolina Gamecocks, attending NASCAR races, and traveling. One of my other greatest passions is serving as a Relief Manager with the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte!

My life’s motto comes from Etienne de Grellet: “I expect to pass through life but once. If, therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good deed that I can do for any fellow man, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”

I look forward to serving all the students and families at Cramerton Middle School!

Mr. Michael Hewitt

My name is Michael Hewitt. I was born and raised in Trenton, NJ and later moved to Wilmington, NC at the age of fifteen. I graduated from Laney High School and later attended Winston-Salem State University. Shortly after college, I married my college sweetheart and we moved to Chicago, IL. We have one son and he loves to play and watch basketball. I started my teaching career in the south suburbs of Chicago as a 6th grade teacher and just before moving back to NC, I have been a Physical Education teacher for the past thirteen years! I enjoy coaching girls and boys basketball, track, and I love to bowl. Gastonia has blessed me with my first opportunity to serve as an administrator and I am very proud to be a member of Cramerton Middle School. Go Eagles!
