This is my first year teaching and I am so excited to be in third grade at Brookside! I am a graduate of UNC Charlotte and have a BA in Sociology/ Psychology and a Graduate degree in Elementary Education. Prior to graduating, I worked as a one on one within the Gaston County School system. I am newly married and outside of teaching, I love spending time with my amazing husband and our family. 

Hello, I’m Chassidy Maiers. I am a product of Gaston County Schools and a former Brookside student. This will be my first year as a teacher. I graduated in May of 2021 from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I enjoy spending time with my family and my kitten Luna. I am so excited to be a 3rd grade teacher and even more excited to be back at Brookside.

My name is Alexus Murray, and I am excited to start my second year teaching at Brookside Elementary! I graduated from Liberty University in August of 2020 with my Bachelor's in Social Work. Soon after starting my career as a foster care case manager, I knew that I needed to fulfill my lifelong dream of teaching. I am currently studying for my Master's in Elementary Education at Western Governors University. I have always had a passion for education and working with children. I enjoy every second in the classroom, and I am excited to teach third grade again at Brookside!
