Supply list: Along with a device and internet access, students will need paper, pencils, pens, calculator. More information may come from individual subject area teachers.
High school courses come in a few varieties:
Gaston Virtual Academy - these courses are taught by Gaston Virtual Academy teachers and offer synchronous live instruction daily.
Gaston Online - these courses are taught by Gaston County Schools teachers and offer asynchronous instruction only.
North Carolina Virtual Public School - these courses are taught by North Carolina teachers and offer a mix of synchronous and asynchronous instruction. AP courses offered through NCVPS are year-long.
Career & College Promise - CCP courses are offered through Gaston College and offer the opportunity for high school students to get free college credit. CCP courses are COLLEGE level courses and follow Gaston College instructional and grading guidelines.
Edgenuity/Edmentum - a few of our electives are offered through these programs as asynchronous coursework. If your students is enrolled in these courses you will get notification of how to keep them on pace throughout the course.
