Mrs. Aristela Torres - Multilingual Learners Teacher, Department Chair

My name is Aristela Torres, and I am the K-2 ML teacher here at Pleasant Ridge. I have been working in education for 30 years. I joined Gaston County Schools seven years ago and have been teaching multilingual learners at PRES since 2016. I am a firm believer that all students can learn; we just have to tap into their passions to light up their interest in learning in ways that will become lifelong experiences.

I am originally from Venezuela and have been living in North Carolina since 1993. I am married to my husband, Jose, and we have a 27-year-old son, Daniel. Outside of work, I love dancing, urban bike riding, kayaking, hiking, painting, and remodeling.
